This is a small house in Burlington's Old North End. The house had a tiny stair up to the second floor that ran up right through the middle of the house dividing the front from the back. The clients wanted to connect the Dining Room with the Kitchen by moving the stairs. The design for the stairs required updating the stairs to comply with the todays building codes. The restrictions are much different and required lots of thought and consideration. The solution allowed up to open up downstairs and minimize construction impacts to the new stair layout upstairs.
