Private Residence: Entry/Kitchen/Fireside/Lounge/Bar

Connection was the keyword for this project. The project needed to open the existing spaces up and connect them with each other to accommodate both the families daily needs as well as their desire to entertain. We started by revising the Entry and Mudroom areas by closing off the mudroom from the more formal entry with a sliding door, and creating a more welcoming and refined Formal Entry for guests. The clients also wanted to connect the Kitchen, Dining Rm, Sunroom , and Fireside with a more open and improved flow. This involved opening up the Kitchen to these spaces and angling the island so that, from the Kitchen side, the clients are connected to all these spaces visually. The Kitchen now provides a comfortable work zone for the daily needs of the family but also has a great layout for the needs and staffing of larger entertaining. We also customized a bar with wood styling and aesthetics to match an existing custom natural wood cabinet.
